Dot set up Westoning Netball Club in 1997 to give an opportunity to young girls in a village where there were no other sporting activities available. She is still involved in the club today. Dot has coached, umpired & mentored over the years on a purely voluntary basis. Dot is a true unsung hero for Grass Roots netball She was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2019 for Services to Sport and the Community in Westoning.
