Helene Wright – After playing netball her whole life Helene began coaching at Russell Lower School in the early 2000s. When her daughter Charlotte began playing at club level, Helene went with her, joining Maulden Netball Club as the first team coach for all of Charlotte’s age group. During this time she went on to gain her umpiring B award and was known as a fierce but fair umpire. She was heavily involved in Junior netball volunteering her time on committees and organising events. Throughout the years she continued to play for Westoning Netball Club never wavering in her loyalty to the club. When Helene decided to take a step back from netball Charlotte will always cherish the memory of her mum putting on her umpiring whites for one last game and her new friends seeing the Helene Wright that Bedfordshire had always been luck to know.
