Bedford & District Netball League held their Cup Finals showcasing its talented players and teams of the season. Six exciting and close matches took place at the University of Bedfordshire which were well supported by their respective enthusiastic and vocal followers. The third division game between Cranfield Gems and Spirit. Gems were first to score and the quarter then went goal for goal. Although Spirit shooters Jennie Cleary and Jodie Babb made some excellent shots Gems defender Penny Luker-Brown used her height well picking off any loose balls. Gems ran away with the first quarter 10-4.

Spirit were first to score in the second quarter with centre Olivia Conroy providing strong support to Cleary and Babb. Few mistakes were made by either team and it ended 6-4 to Gems.

Gems took control in the third quarter with Hannah Badham having her eye in in the shooting circle. But Spirit lived up the their name and came back into the game with great tenacity showing they were a force to be reckoned with and after a fast paced quarter edged ahead winning 9-8.

Spirit left them selves with a lot to do in the final quarter but even with their Goal Defence Lydia Pickwick making impressive interceptions and never giving up Gems got the bit between their teeth playing as they had in the first quarter they accelerated away winning 12-4.

The winners of the third division Cup were Cranfield Gems, Player Of the Match was Cranfield Gems Laura Town. The umpires were Jeanette Johnson and Mel Strachan.
